Once you accept the contract, the game strips away standard objective markers, requiring you to read the environment directly. Your goal is to trace a string of crimson twine tied to iron sconces, decaying woodwork, and stone lintels running toward the waterfront canal.
Examine the three key crime scenes in order:
First, inspect the overturned cargo cart behind the Dyer's Workshop. Activate your investigative focus to spot a bloodstained hem snagged on an iron axle. Interacting with it rewards the Dyed Silk Swatch, confirming the culprit escaped through the drainage culverts.
Second, follow the trail eastward to the abandoned cooperage. Inside, clear out three level-19 Drowned Stalkers using heavy blunt attacks. Once the room is secure, check the floorboards beside the center vat. Prying open the loose timber reveals the Weaver's Ledger, a ledger containing encoded notes on local noble family trees and lunar symbols.
Third, trace the crimson fibers to the barred iron grate at the mouth of the Low Cistern. Use the iron key found tucked inside the ledger binding to open the lock. Descend the stone stairs into the hidden sanctuary beneath the city.
