Everything to Know About Gavin Casalegno: Age, Marriage, Movies, and Full Biography
Long before Cousins Beach became a cultural phenomenon, Casalegno worked his way through feature films and prestige television. Darren Aronofsky cast him as young Shem in the 2014 biblical epic Noah, placing the adolescent actor alongside Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, and Logan Lerman. The role offered him an early masterclass in large-scale film sets and serious dramatic storytelling.
Genre television fans discovered him around the same period. In season seven of The Vampire Diaries, Casalegno appeared as the young Damon Salvatore, stepping into the flashback footwear of Ian Somerhalder. He later joined the CW's Walker as recurring character Trevor Strand, sharpening his television instincts across multiple episodes. Yet nothing matched the explosion that occurred when Amazon Prime Video premiered Jenny Han’s adaptation of The Summer I Turned Pretty in 2022.
Portraying Jeremiah Fisher required a delicate blend of easygoing charm and bubbling sibling rivalry. The series ignited an internet-dominating love triangle between Jeremiah, Belly Conklin (Lola Tung), and Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney). Casalegno gave Jeremiah a textured vulnerability that elevated the character beyond standard beach-house archetypes, winning over dedicated factions of viewers across multiple seasons.
