Fact-Check: Did Joe Bart Diss Gabriel Iglesias, or Is It an Internet Hoax?
A simple check of Bartolozzi’s broadcast history debunks the controversy. The audio track lifted for the viral clip originates from a broadcast dated March 14, 2024. During that three-hour stream, Bartolozzi was reviewing user-submitted content on his community subreddit, specifically reacting to recurring TikTok sound trends and repetitive reaction formats that his chat kept spamming.
His irritated quote ("It's literally the same joke every single time") was aimed at an overused soundbite from a cooking meme channel. At no point during that broadcast did Bartolozzi watch, review, or mention Gabriel Iglesias or his stand-up catalog.
Bartolozzi has built an audience of over 24 million followers across platforms precisely because of his volatile, exaggerated reactions to minor annoyances. Clip channels routinely isolate his fiery outbursts, stripping away the on-screen context to manufacture conflict against beloved public figures. When a viewer brought up the rumor during a subsequent stream later that month, Bartolozzi dismissed it instantly, pointing out that he had never spoken ill of Iglesias and had grown up watching Comedy Central specials alongside his family.
