Fact-Checking the Kathy Bates and Elon Musk Rumor: Feud, Movie, or Total Hoax?
Legitimate film studios have indeed pursued screen projects about Elon Musk. Following Walter Isaacson's authorized 2023 biography, independent studio A24 secured the rights to develop a feature film directed by Darren Aronofsky. Industry updates regarding that project have focused on conventional screenplays and potential male leads, with casting rumors mentioning performers like Kevin Durand, Jesse Plemons, or Rami Malek. None of the production developments have ever involved Bates.
Kathy Bates, meanwhile, has remained occupied with major dramatic work, including her central role in the television reboot of Matlock. Having spoken openly about entering the later phase of her distinguished career, Bates focuses on meaty dramatic scripts and legal procedural roles rather than internet-manufactured controversy.
