Fact-Checking the 'Nice Cock' Meme: Who Actually Voiced the Legendary Audio?
Q1: Did the official voice actor of Shadow the Hedgehog record the "Nice Cock" audio?
A1: No. Neither David Humphrey, Jason Griffith, nor Kirk Thornton, the official English voice actors for Shadow the Hedgehog, ever recorded the line. The audio originated from grassroots online voice actors and impressionists on Twitter and Discord around late 2019 and early 2020.
Q2: Is the audio clip connected to the SnapCube Real-Time Fandubs?
A2: While SnapCube popularized gaming fandub comedy during the same era, the "Nice Cock" audio was produced independently by informal meme creators rather than the SnapCube ensemble cast.
Q3: What is the connection between the Goto-san meme and the "Nice Cock" soundbite?
A3: The Goto-san meme is an early 2000s precursor stemming from an obscure official English dub of an anime that featured an unexpectedly explicit, blunt line of dialogue. It established the specific comedic archetype that modern fandubbers drew upon when creating the Shadow the Hedgehog reaction audio.
