How to Defeat the Lava Dragon Statue Genshin Impact: Full Walkthrough
The lava dragon statue is not an open-world wandering elite that yields to ordinary brute force; it operates as an environmental seal guarded by an automated defense avatar. Approaching the perimeter activates an extreme heat aura that rapidly drains party health points unless you mitigate lava hazard evasion by using high ground or protective shields.
Success requires mastering the region's indigenous Saurian mechanics. Scattered near the perimeter are glowing amber transformation spirits. Pressing your interaction key initiates indwelling a Tepetlisaur, turning your character into the burrowing Saurian native to the Children of Echoes.
While subterranean, your Tepetlisaur avoids surface magma damage entirely. Burrow through the fractured basalt around the statue base to unearth three submerged Phlogiston extraction points. Surface attacks bounce harmlessly off the dragon statue until all three nodes are purged of raw elemental heat. Dig beneath each node, hit the trigger prompt to breach the shell, and surface immediately to begin the combat phase.
