How to Get Your Ao3 Wrapped 2025: Safe Methods, Step-by-Step Stats Guide & Faqs
Generating your stats requires navigating a core technical hurdle: AO3 displays reading history paginated, 20 works per page, sorted by the last visit date. Manually adding up hundreds of stories is impossible, but handing account credentials to an unverified third-party website carries severe security risks.
Safe extraction depends entirely on client-side execution. A secure script runs within your own browser session, fetching pages from your history tab sequentially and reading the existing HTML tags for word count, relationships, fandom categories, and kudos. If a website asks you to enter your AO3 username and password into an external form, close the tab immediately. Legitimate tools never ask for your private authentication keys.
Before any script can collect numbers, verify that your account actually tracked your 2025 reading data. Log in, navigate to My History, and ensure the Turn History Off button is visible. If your history was paused or cleared during the year, your generated statistics will only reflect the slice of time when tracking was active.
