Mama June: Family Crisis Season 9 Status: Is the We Tv Series Ending or Returning?
Q1: Has WE tv officially renewed Mama June: Family Crisis for Season 9?
WE tv has not yet released a formal public renewal announcement for Season 9. Network executives typically assess complete live-plus-delayed ratings from the current broadcast run before issuing talent contracts for the next production cycle.
Q2: When would Season 9 premiere if renewed?
Assuming production follows its established four-to-six-month post-renewal rhythm, a ninth season would most likely premiere in early 2027. Filming schedules will have to accommodate Alana Thompson's academic semester commitments in Colorado.
Q3: Will Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson be in future seasons?
Alana continues to appear, though her role has shifted from household regular to featured participant. Her relocation to Denver for college means scenes featuring her require separate production teams and revolve around visits, school breaks, and direct phone confrontations with June.
