Read in-depth coverage about Lauren German Dating Timeline: from Chicago Fire to Lucifer and Beyond.

No rumor has followed German more persistently than the idea of a secret off-screen romance with Tom Ellis. Playing the celestial romance between Chloe Decker and Lucifer Morningstar required undeniable emotional magnetism. Fans formed an active subculture around the portmanteau "Deckerstar," dissecting every behind-the-scenes glance on Instagram.

The rumors lacked any factual foundation. Ellis married American screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer in June 2019 at a star-studded ceremony in Grass Valley, California. German attended the wedding alongside fellow cast members, openly celebrating her co-star's real-life happiness. Both actors have repeatedly pointed out that their bond is strictly fraternal. German has described Ellis as a trusted friend and collaborative partner whose comedic timing brought out the best in her own craft.
