Penelope: an Epic New Musical Guide — Plot, Cast, Tickets, and What to Expect
At Jobsite Theater, carrying a full-length musical as a solo performer requires exceptional technical range and stamina. The role demands someone who can effortlessly pivot from dry, biting stand-up comedy to blistering vocal climaxes that shake the intimate theater walls. Supported by onstage musicians who weave strings and piano into Penelope’s inner monologue, the show creates a living, breathing soundscape out of isolation.
Meanwhile, the concept album cast for EPIC: The Musical relies on a diverse ensemble of vocalists sourced largely through open community auditions and digital scouting. Rivera-Herrans has maintained absolute narrative control over the score, composing layered vocal tracks that mirror ancient Greek choral traditions through modern digital production techniques. Vocalists portraying Penelope capture a distinct balance of warmth, grief, and steely resolve, ensuring that every encounter with Telemachus and the disguised king carries genuine stakes.
