Robert Plant’s Children: the Heartbreaking Loss and Enduring Legacy Behind His Family
Robert Plant’s journey as a father began well before Led Zeppelin reached the stratosphere. He married his first wife, Maureen Wilson, in November 1968, just as the band was holding its earliest rehearsals and preparing its landmark debut album. Together, Robert and Maureen welcomed three children: daughter Carmen Jane Plant in October 1968, son Karac Plant in April 1972, and son Logan Romero Plant in January 1979.
The couple divorced in August 1983, yet their lives remained intertwined through their children and shared rural roots in the English Midlands. Years later, Plant entered a relationship with Maureen’s sister, Shirley Wilson. In September 1991, the pair welcomed Plant’s fourth child, Jesse Lee Plant.
Plant took deliberate care to raise his children away from the gossip-heavy London rock circles. His children grew up anchored to the Welsh borders, surrounded by pastoral landscapes and historic hillforts rather than red carpets. This rural grounding offered his family stability during the turbulent heights of seventies rock culture.
