Salem Cross Inn Event Spotlight: 2026 Prom Season Ushers in Busy Spring Calendar
The MacDuffie School, a day and boarding academy based in Granby, has repeatedly turned east toward West Brookfield for major milestones. The May 1 gathering brought dozens of upperclassmen, faculty chaperones, and photographers onto the inn’s sweeping manicured grounds overlooking the Quaboag Valley.
Spring galas pose clear logistical demands for period structures. Banquet teams coordinated staggered arrivals, staged portrait sessions across field stone borders, and ran a full multi-course dinner service without interrupting the estate's open-space views. The success of the prom provided a live operational run-through for the venue's staff before the incoming rush of weekend wedding receptions scheduled through November 2026.
