Timeline of Events: What Occurred Today at James I. Gibson Elementary
Q1: Was James I. Gibson Elementary placed on full hard lockdown today?
A1: No. The campus entered a precautionary soft containment posture. Classrooms remained locked and indoor instruction continued, but exterior doors and gates were strictly secured against outside access while officers swept the perimeter.
Q2: Were any students or staff members injured during the response?
A2: No injuries occurred. The precautionary measures were triggered by an external community issue off campus, and at no point was the internal school facility compromised.
Q3: How can parents ensure they receive real-time CCSD campus updates during emergencies?
A3: Families must verify that their primary contact phone numbers and email addresses are updated within the CCSD Infinite Campus portal. Emergency parent notification alerts pull directly from those verified records.
