Which Nissan Has Those Weird Headlights? the Truth Behind the Viral Auto-Shop Blunder
If you own an older Nissan Juke or a modern crossover with a split layout, servicing front bulbs requires a systematic check. The easiest way to avoid wasting money on the wrong parts is to perform an exterior walk-around with a helper operating the dashboard switch.
Turn on your daytime running lights and step in front of the bumper. Observe which lens illuminates. Turn on the hazard flashers. If the amber pulse originates inside the top hood blade, that housing is strictly your indicator and parking assembly. Finally, switch on the standard nighttime low beams. On a Juke, the large, round circular pods directly below the hood line will instantly ignite.
Access points differ drastically between these tiers. While top parking lamps can usually be twisted free from under the hood compartment in under two minutes, accessing the main circular headlight pod requires peeling back the plastic fender liner inside the wheel well. Attempting to force an H4 low-beam bulb into the upper socket will damage the plastic housing and cost upwards of $150 to $300 for an aftermarket replacement assembly.
